may be fun from an academic game-playing standpoint
Nothing to do with academia. Its propaganda. Its the fundamental propaganda used to justify existing system and prevent any progress or improvement.
The bottom line is the fundamental corruption and elitism of centralized control and centralized institutional power of all kinds.
Every other developed country in the world does spectacularly well with centralized control and centralized institutional power of all kinds.
Its only US, and to an extent, UK, who are not doing well at all.
They suck, because they’re in it for them, not us.
In Socialism, one guy has one vote. In Capitalism, 0.1% of the population can have all the votes thanks to the money they have.
Bloomberg already outspent everyone else in US Democratic primaries by dumping $120 million in ads.
That’s why you cant elect pro-people politicians. The system prevents it. The one with the gold, makes the rules.
Human institutions are never simply trustworthy objective things that can be relied on. Whether capitalist or socialist — there’s always some person in there controlling things for their own benefit.
As i said before, these are Anglosphere problems. This ‘anti-government’ religion, coupled by system of Capitalism which need and propagates that religion, prevents you people from being able to take power. Its by design.
Incredibly, first you subscribe to that ‘anti-government’ religion and give power to concentrated private wealth, and then when they prevent you from doing anything good for yourselves as the people, you complain about government, human nature, trustworthiness and so on.
You create that situation. Its your doing. You can change it as well.
All you need to do is to lose the ‘anti-government’ religion they use to manipulate you. Its incredible that you accept and subscribe to what 0.1% of the population propagates for their own benefit. If its beneficial to them, it can not be beneficial to you.
Its as simple as that.
