"60 years of authoritarian monstrosity"

Every single nation including the most 'democratic' ones have laws in their legal system to effect this exact very 'authoritarian' environment when the existence of the society is threatened during war time, impending war, global catastrophe or another calamity.

Hell, even a NYC court has suspended habeas corpus back during BLM protests until supreme court reverted it. The law to suspend all rights was there, NYC court used it, and if the supreme court saw the situation 'grave enough', it would let it stay, effectively ending all rights in New York. So little a protest prompted such an authoritarian action in US.

And Cuba has been blockaded to starve since 60 years. That's more than war - its actual war. Blockading a nation is considered an act of war and is a valid casus belli per international law. The only problem is that Cuba lacks the military power to defend itself in the wake of such aggression.

Cuba's government is legitimate. Its a government who is in a state of war since 60 years.

The only thing anyone sane and non-sociopath can do for Cuba is to force end the blockade of Cuba. Especially the blockade from using SWIFT international payments system, which practically effects majority of the blockade.

And that's only the fault of US. Every single nation on the planet voted to end the blockade in UN. Only US and Israel voted against. 3 abstained. Even the most obedient allies of US voted to end the blockade.

There is no culprit here but US. Yes, its precisely as you said - el unico diablo here is US. That's what you become when you actively, physically starve a tiny island full of people.
